PhD students will be working on: a) Novel imaging modalities (PET-MRI, 3D echo), in the search for better diagnostics in pulmonary hypertension; b) Metabolomics as a tool to reveal novel pathogenetic pathways and new treatment strategies in heart failure; c) Changes of microbiome in the course of chronic heart failure; d) Altered microbiome as a source of active metabolites influencing the development of ischemic heart disease; e) Alterations of kynurenine pathway in patients with chronic heart failure; f) Immunomodulatory changes in patients with acute and chronic heart failure.
