From June 28 to July 2, 2021, the International Summer School entitled "The role of scientific discourse and modern research technologies in achieving successful scientific results" was held at the Medical University of Bialystok, in which doctoral students of the International Doctoral Studies in Medical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences participated.
The School was held within the framework of the project: "Interdisciplinary, international doctoral studies in medical biology and pharmaceutical sciences at the Medical University of Bialystok" co-financed by the European Social Fund as part of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020. The project Manager is the MUB Vice-Rector for Education, Professor Adrian Chabowski, MD, PhD and the substantive coordinator is the Vice-Dean for Development of the MUB Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, Assoc. Professor Katarzyna Socha, PhD.
On the first day of summer school, six outstanding international experts: Professor Roman Lesyk (Lviv National Medical University, Ukraine); Professor Piotr Lewczuk (Universitätsklinikum Erlangen, Germany); Professor Antonella Forlino (University of Pavia, Italy); Professor Ramunė Morkūnienė (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Kaunas, Lithuania); Professor Marijana Zovko-Končić (University of Zagreb, Croatia) and Professor Kazim Sahin (Firat University in Elazig, Turkey) presented lectures that made a significant contribution to the development of research interests of doctoral students.
The second day was devoted to the presentations of the doctoral students, who presented the research methods used during the realisation of their doctoral thesis. The lectures were attended by scientific supervisors and international experts. After each speech there was an opportunity for discussion.
From 30 June 2021 to 2 July 2021 as part of a summer school in six university units: Department of Biotechnology, Department of Neurodegeneration Diagnostics, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Department of Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Analysis, Department of Pharmacognosy and Department of Bromatology workshops in the field of modern research methods were held, which were coordinated by foreign professors with the support of academic teachers from the MUB.
