The International Cooperation Department announces the signing of another agreement with a Spanish University, this time the University of the Basque Country.
The University of the Basque Country has been founded in 1980. It is a public university of the autonomous community of the Basque Country in northern Spain. The main campus of the university is located in Bilbao (Campus de Vizcaya), in addition there are campuses in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Campus de Álava) and in San Sebastián (Campus de Guipúzcoa).
The University of the Basque Country offers education in numerous fields of study, from engineering and humanities to health sciences, economics, art and architecture. All curricula are fully adapted to the European Higher Education system. Currently, the University educates about 45,000 students and employs more than 3,300 teaching staff. In recent years, the University of the Basque Country has accomplished a significant increase in international academic achievements, as evidenced by taking a place in the range 301 - 400 on the Shanghai List in 2020.
The agreement signed with the University of the Basque Country is already the 61st cooperation agreement concluded by the Medical University of Bialystok.
