Works related to the Polish-English signage of the campus of the Medical University of Bialystok have been completed. The installation of elements of the bilingual signage included elements inside and outside the campus. The graphic design of the signage is consistent with the existing signage elements, both in the external version as well as the one inside our facilities. The scope of work concerned the installation of elements such as: signposts, pylons, door boards and department boards.
The purpose of expanding the bilingual campus signage system is to further facilitate moving around the rooms that are in the resources of our University, especially among foreign students, associates and other guests of MUB. The result of this task within the project "Direction internationalization. Integration of the international community of MUB and strengthening the ability to serve foreigners” is enriching our University with over 260 elements of signage that appeared in places such as:
· the main part of the Branicki Palace,
· the right and left wing of the Palace,
· Biobank,
· Orangery,
· Sports halls,
· student dormitories,
· Procurement Department ,
· Collegium Universum,
· Dental Didactic Center,
· Faculty of Health Sciences.
All signs are both in Polish and in English. The contractor supplying the marking and ensuring the installation of the system is, again, Elkam Produkcja sp. z o. o (formerly Elkam Producent Reklam Marcin Kamiński). The current activities, as previously, are possible thanks to the activities of the International Cooperation Department (DWM) in cooperation with the Rector's Plenipotentiary for International Cooperation - Professor Tomasz Hryszko, Deputy Chancellor for Technical Affairs Dr. Jerzy Tokajuk and the Department of Administration and Services. DWM was the originator, coordinator and obtained the funding, thus enabling the implementation of the project. The total value of the task is PLN 328,271.90.
The previous signage was carried out as part of the project " Bilingual MUB campus signage system ", currently its continuation is carried out under the project " Direction of internationalization. Integration of the MUB's international community and strengthening the ability to serve foreigners ”. Both projects were financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the Welcome to Poland program (calls for 2018 and 2021).
The signange system is an element of the Internationalization Strategy of the MUB (action under the specific objective No. 1: increasing the institutional potential of the MUB determining international cooperation), implemented under the supervision of the Rector's Plenipotentiary for International Cooperation, prof. dr. hab. Tomasz Hryszko.
The program is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development, a non-competitive project entitled Improving the competences of the academic staff and the potential of institutions in accepting people from abroad - Welcome to Poland implemented as part of the Measure specified in the application for co-financing of the project No. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN14/18
