Once again, the friendly walls of the Branicki Palace had the opportunity to host the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Poznan University of Technology, Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, PhD, (Eng). The main purpose of the visit was to discuss further cooperation between the universities, with particular emphasis on the development of UMB within the framework of the EUNICE European University, whose coordinator is Poznan University of Technology. The meetings were also attended by Prof. Anna Moniuszko-Malinowska, Ph.D., Coordinator for research cooperation and scientific publications in the “valuEU” project.
The meeting was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the universities, emphasizing activities in the international arena, particularly evident in the jointly implemented NAWA project entitled “valuEU” coordinated by Sylwia Klepacka of the International Cooperation Department, which is fully dedicated to UMB's development in EUNICE. Talks covered the launch of further joint activities, including mutual mobility, specialized training by UMB experts, and the upcoming EAIE international trade fairs, where UMB's presence in EUNICE will be promoted.
During the visit, a number of topics related to interdisciplinary research projects that combine engineering, computer science and medicine were discussed. A significant part of the discussions concerned cooperation in the area of analysis and integration of omics data with clinical analysis results. “We welcome this cooperation, as we can clearly see that this exchange of different experiences and competencies serves both our sides,” - emphasized UMB Rector, Prof. Marcin Moniuszko, PhD (Eng).
