Professor Artur Bossowski, head of the Department of Paediatrics, Endocrinology, Diabetology and the Subgovernment of Cardiology of the Medical Univeristy of Bialystok, visited the Queen Mary University of London as part of a long-term cooperation with the London Royal Hospital. The cooperation consists of permanent, clinical and scientific contracts with the one of the best centers of eno-glycology and diabetology in the world.
- I carry out research on genetic disorders in children with low growth. Together, we discovered the Silver like syndrome - says prof. Bossowski.
Thanks to that, at least once a year, prof. Bossowski gives lectures in London, on the latest research in the field of immunogenetics of children with thyroid diseases. In addition, prof. Bossowski also presents clinical recommendations for the diagnosis of these diseases in the group of children using elastography to assess the malignancy of focal lesions in the thyroid gland.
- I have been conducting elastography research for eight years. I started to do them in pediatric thyrology as the first in Poland, that's why my colleagues from London are interested in me teaching them - he adds.
