    Medical University of Bialystok (MUB) is a modern, dynamically developing university conducting research at the highest international level whose mission is to provide the best education of professional, responsible, modern medical staff. Currently, the strategic research projects at MUB are: innovative cohort studies for the detection of civilization diseases in the early stages of their development and the creation of a reference model for personalized diagnosis of tumors. MUB is a leader of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND Horizon 2020 Framework Programme project ImPRESS: "International Interdisciplinary PhD studies in Biomedical Research and Biostatistics. Supporting the career and training in omic-based research and biostatistics by international and - sectoral mobility". More information about the project you can find at ImPRESS website.

     

    If you want to be a part of our University and implement a project with us do not hesitate and apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships (IF) Call 2018. We will support you in the application process and find you the best supervisor at MUB in the area of your interest.

    The deadline for applying to IF is 12 September 2018 at 17:00, Brussels local time.

     

    In IF research fields are chosen freely by the researchers and all are eligible. Interdisciplinary projects are also welcome for funding. The researcher has to participate in different conferences, scientific scholarships and courses to develop his/her knowledge and interpersonal skills. Moreover, European Commission provides satisfactory financial support to individual researchers (living and mobility allowance in Poland 4284 EUR/month gross).

    If you are an Experienced Researcher* and:

    • you are of any nationality
    • you want to move or have moved from any country to Poland (complying with the mobility rule**)

    apply for European Fellowships with MUB. The duration of the Fellowship at MUB should be between 12 and 24 months. More information about European Fellowships you can find here.

     

    If you, as an Experienced Researcher*, prefer to apply for Global Fellowships you have to:

    • be a resident of Member State of the European Union or Associated Country
    • move or have moved from any country to the partner organisation located in the other countries than Member States or Associated Countries (complying with the mobility rule) and return to MUB.

    Global Fellowships are based on an outgoing phase during which the researcher undertakes mobility to a partner organisation for a period of between 12 and 24 months, followed by a mandatory 12-month return period to MUB, Poland. You transfer knowledge between collaborating organisations and countries. More information about Global Fellowships you can find here.

    * The Experienced Researcher (no age restrictions apply) must be, at the date of 12 September 2018 in possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience. Full-Time Equivalent Research Experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree entitling him/her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited, even if a doctorate was never started or envisaged.

    ** Mobility rule - the researcher cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country where the IF take place for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before 12.09.2018 or for more than 36 months in the last 5 years (Reintegration and Career Restart Panel).
