Today (14th of December 2018) the Senators, the University authorities, doctors and habilitated doctors, who obtained academic titles in the past year, met in the Aula Magna. MUB’s Rector, at the request of the Senate, honored prof. Coral Barbas from San Pablo University in Madrid with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of our Alma Mater.
Magnificence prof. Adam Krętowski, giving a laudation in honor of prof. Coral Barbas, highlighted that she is a world authority in the field of medicine. Prof. Barbas created the Center for Metabolomics and Bioanalysis (CEMBIO) at the University of San-Pablo in Madrid, one of the most modern laboratories of metabolomics research in Europe. For over 30 years, Professor Coral Barbas is the head of the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of San Pablo-CEU in Madrid.
The lecture given by prof. Coral Barbas after receiving the Doctor Honoris Causa was entitled "A NEW RESEARCH PARADIGM FOR A NEW CENTURY: OMICS TECHNOLOGIES"
In his speech during the ceremony Rector, prof. A. Krętowski reported that the University's employees published in the last academic year nearly 1,000 works with a total impact factor of over 1400 and the total score over 13,000. Points . The magazine published by MUB entitled Advances in Medical Sciences for 2017 had the highest impact factor (2.064) in the history.
In the past year, 7 academic teachers of our University received the title of professor, doctorate degree was given to 71 people, and 15 people obtained the degree of hab. doctor.
