The title of "Social activist of the Year 2018" of the weekly “Newsweek Polska” was awarded to: President of the Association for Disabled Driver "SPiNKa" - Krzysztof Marciniak and President of the Pro Salute Association, Vice Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Health Sciences of MUB – prof. Elżbieta Krajewska-Kułak.
The jury awarded prof. E. Krajewska-Kułak for "comprehensive activity in the area of protection and promotion of health of children and the elderly people, and for a huge contribution to the creation of the Hospice for Children in Bialystok, University of Healthy Senior and Healthy Preschool University, as well as for the involvement of a wide range of volunteers to help people in need.
Elżbieta Krajewska-Kułak has been involved in social activities for almost 20 years. As a professor of medical sciences, since 2000, she was the initiator and co-organizer of over 373 charity and promotional campaigns.
