Welcome Centre is launched within the International Cooperation Office of the MUB - a place of comprehensive service for foreign students, PhD students and academic staff.

At the Welcome Centre, foreign students, doctoral students and academic staff will be able to receive professional help regarding their functioning at the University and in Bialystok.

The skillful Welcome Centre employees - friendly, energetic young people, offer assistance in dealing with various matters at the University, in the city office or renting an apartment. People who operate the Welcome Centre are fluent in English, have participated in specialist training courses related to servicing foreign students, international cooperation workshops, intercultural communication workshops, as well as specialized English workshops. They carried out a study visit to San Pablo University in Spain to learn about the methods of professional service for people from abroad. In the nearest future they will also visit highly internationalized universities in Great Britain and Germany.

During your visit to the Welcome Centre, you will be able to get university guides, leaflets, student calendars, English-language document forms (e.g. related to foreign trips). In addition, a collection of university documents in English is currently being prepared, which will be issued in a friendly and handy form (university statute, organizational regulations, strategy, templates of forms and prints, the most important university resolutions and ordinances, documents regarding personal data protection, etc.) .
The International Cooperation Office will soon start working on the MyMUB smartphone app that will facilitate the functioning and acclimatization of people from abroad at our University. The Welcome Centre is also currently working on preparation of the next intercultural workshops, thanks to which the integrated international community of our University will be built. Preparations for making the English-language promotional movie of MUB have also begun. A profile of foreign MUB graduates on Facebook has also been launched.

Welcome Centre employees, together with the Promotion and Recruitment Office, will organize events to integrate the entire international academic community of UMB. We invite you cordially to the International MUB’s Karaoke Night - book your time on January 17, 2020! (start at. 8.00 pm).

The activities of the Welcome Centre will be systematically expanded.

The university is currently implementing the Internationalization Strategy approved at the end of last year.

The International Cooperation Office of the MUB was established – it is the first international team of administrative staff at our University and the Rector's Proxy for International Cooperation.

The year 2019 can already be considered a record year in the history of the University in terms of the number of bilateral international agreements concluded. So far, 12 bilateral agreements have been concluded, including the first with a university from the United States - Texas Tech University. Another 4 contracts are being concluded. The university will soon start cooperation with clinics from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, thanks to which our English Division students will be able to have summer internships in these clinics.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, a record number of foreign students- 126 people began their studies at the MUB’s English Division.

The International Cooperation Office has already obtained 16 grants for the implementation of projects in the field of internationalization (including for foreign accreditation), promotion of the University in Asia and North America, preparation of applications for smartphones for foreign guests and students, foreign scientific trips of doctoral students, purchase of access to prestigious foreign magazines in the library. In the near future new applications for internationalization financing will be prepared.

Since the beginning of the year, our employees, students and doctoral students have already participated in almost 600 trips abroad, which result in gaining new contacts and allow our scientists to be included in international research networks.

The institutional potential in the field of internationalization is being developed consistently. A bilingual labeling system for the University campus is currently being created, and a graphic and material concept for the labeling system has been developed.

The website of our University is available in nine languages. International events in English are held to integrate the entire international academic community.
