    Author: Administrator UMB

    1. Pursuant to the Regulations of 1st degree, 2nd degree and uniform Master's studies at the Medical University of Bialystok (hereinafter referred to as Regulations), student internships are an integral part of studies and are implemented in accordance with the study program and study plan (§7 of the Regulations).
    2. Undertaking internship is a student's obligation (§9 section 2 point 2 of the Regulations), while passing internship is a condition for obtaining credit for the academic year (§13 section 2 point 1 of the Regulations).
    3. Students are required to take all possible actions aimed at fulfilling the obligation to implement internships in the academic year 2019/2020.
    4. Students of medicine, dentistry, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, emergency medicine, laboratory medicine, pharmacy, who during the suspension of education performed activities as part of tasks carried out by medical entities or sanitary and epidemiological services in connection with SARS-CoV-2 infections may apply for credit for all or part of the internships to which learning outcomes covering practical skills acquired during the performance of the activities have been assigned in the study program.
      1. Internship supervisor may accept the above-mentioned internships (in whole or in part), taking into account information on the number of hours and the nature of the activities performed, referred to in section 4, contained in the certificate issued by the entity in which the student performed these activities.
      2. Application for acceptance of internships in the manner indicated in section 4 along with a complete set of documents, the student is obliged to submit to the internship supervisor by 31 July 2020.
    5. Cases of inability to undertake internships, or impediments to the implementation of internships, should be reported immediately to assess and verify the situation and consider the possibility of removing the impediments.
    6. Application for postponing internships to the next academic year should be submitted in writing and contain a justification. The application should be submitted to the internship supervisor representing the university - immediately after noticing the obstacles, but no later than the last date possible for the implementation of internships – i.e. by 1 September 2020.
    7. The dean agrees to postpone the internships to the next academic year, after hearing the opinion of the internship supervisor, the dean's consent will apply to individual cases, and the inability to implement the internship should, despite the existing situation, have unique nature and be objective.
    8. The Dean's consent to postpone the implementation of internships to the next academic year will not result in failure to complete internships in the academic year 2019/2020.
    9. In the absence of the Dean's consent to postpone the internships to the next academic year, the student is required to complete internships in the academic year 2019/2020. In such case, the lack of implementation of internships in the year 2020/2021 will be treated as failure to complete the required subject and will be the basis for conditional completion of the year/repeating the year/deletion from studies – in accordance with the provisions of the Study Regulations.
    10. If the student is not able to undertake internships at the place of residence or other place chosen by the student, and MUB offers the implementation of internships in one of the institutions indicated by the University, the application for postponing internships will not be taken into account and failure to complete the internship will be treated as failure to implement the required subject and will constitute the basis for conditional completion of the year/repeating the year/deletion from studies – in accordance with the provisions of the Study Regulations.
    11. Postponing the implementation of internships to the next academic year does not exempt
from the obligation to implement internships, and only results in postponing the date of their implementation. Students applying for the postponement must be aware that in the next academic year, regardless of their current duties, they will be obliged to complete overdue internships, and this situation may result in limitations on the acceptance of students by the entities in which internships are performed (the need to secure places for an increased number of students for the needs of ongoing and overdue internships).
    12. Implementation of internships from 2019/2020 in the 2020/2021 academic year cannot constitute grounds for justifying the lack of implementation of the program and study plan in 2020/2021.
