The Faculty of Medicine (field of study: Medicine) was evaluated by the KRAUM Education Quality Commission.
The strengths of the education in that Faculty, are, among others: excellent cooperation between the Rector's and Dean's authorities and administration with students, quick solving of students 'problems, a well-equipped Medical Simulation Center and a very good didactic base.
In addition, the Commission appreciated the students' great involvement in the life of the Medical University of Bialystok, their active participation in scientific research (nearly 130 publications in 2020 with a total IF> 100), as well as the innovative approach of academic staff to teaching process, good relations with students and openness to new ways of imparting knowledge. The evaluators also paid attention to the good organization of holiday internships. The procedure for completing non-obligatory questionnaires evaluating academic teachers also had an impact on the distinguishing mark in the awarded certificate of the quality of education.
Experts during the visit on March 9-10, 2021, had many conversations with the staff and students, got acquainted with the functioning of clinics, departments, university clinical hospitals and visited the didactic base. They also listened to the opinions of the students themselves.
The distinctive assessment of the quality of teaching at the Medical University of Bialystok results from the opinion of the Commission and students as well as the data that the University completed in a special self-assessment questionnaire (based on the guidelines of the US Department of Education).
