Medical University of Bialystok (MUB) invites excellent postdoctoral researchers to co-apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021 (under Horizon Europe EU Framework Programme). The eligible candidates holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers are very welcome to become a part of our University.
MUB is searching for candidates who will conduct research at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Analysis. Department’s field of research is related to the identification of molecular targets for potential pharmacotherapy of cancer, wound healing, and molecular mechanisms of drug bioactivity. The preferred areas of expertise of a future Postdoctoral Fellow are: cancer research and drug bioactivity. The candidates should have an experience in molecular biology techniques, cell cultures, metabolomics (incl. GC-MS, LC-MS QTOF) and immunology.
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are targeted at researchers holding a PhD who wish to carry out their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. PFs help researchers gain experience in other countries, disciplines and non-academic sectors. The duration of the Action is max. 24 months (European Fellowships) and max. 36 months (Global Fellowships).
The prospective applicants should:
have a PhD degree at the time of the deadline for applications (12th October 2021)
have a maximum of eight years’ experience in research, from the date of the award of their PhD degree
comply with mobility rules: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Poland (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
The EU provides monthly support (gross) for the recruited Postdoctoral Fellows in the form of:
a living allowance (3.581,4 EUR – in case of the European Fellowship – 24 months at MUB)
a mobility allowance (600 EUR)
if applicable: family allowance (660 EUR) and special needs allowances.
In addition, funding is provided for:
research, training and networking activities (1.000 EUR/month)
management and indirect costs (650 EUR/month).
The Postdoctoral Fellowships' call for proposals deadline is 12th October 2021.
Seals of Excellence will be awarded to applications with a total score equal to or higher than 85%, but which cannot be funded due to lack of budget available under the call. ERA Fellowships provide specific support to researchers to undertake their fellowship in Poland.
Interested researchers will work closely with a PF’s supervisor on their project, in the field of pharmacology/pharmacy, and then submit an application together with MUB as a host organisation.
