Norwegian students of the Medical University of Bialystok are celebrating the Norwegian Constitution Day on 17 May. In Norway, this day is spent with picnics, marches and joint events. Therefore, MUB students dressed in national costumes left at 2 p.m. in front of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic and marched to the Branicki Palace, the seat of the University. Everything took place in a joyful atmosphere to the sounds of trumpets and patriotic songs.

Such a celebration of the national holiday of Norway has a long tradition at our University. Foreign students of the English Division from Scandinavia, who make up a large group of all foreigners (110 people, out of over 400 foreign students) manifest their patriotism in this way.

Norwegian Constitution Day is a public holiday of Norway and is a day off from work. This holiday is celebrated annually on May 17. Norwegians call them Nasjonaldagen (National Day) or Grunnlovsdagen (Constitution Day) for short.
