The fourth and last Seminar session of doctoral students and a meeting of partner organizations of the ImPRESS project took place on May 20, 2022. This time the event was held in a hybrid formula. Project entitled "International interdisciplinary doctoral studies in medical biology and biostatistics. Training in research based on large-scale technologies and biostatistics and supporting the career of young scientists through international and intersectoral mobility", is co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the European Union Framework Program in in the field of research and innovation, Horizon 2020 as part of the activities of Maria Skłodowska-Curie COFUND.
During the Seminar session, 13 ImPRESS doctoral students presented their current scientific achievements and research tasks to the representatives of partner organizations, research supervisors and project management (List of research topics). Over 40 people participated in the meeting. The presentations of doctoral students and their research progress were assessed using an online questionnaire. During the meeting of ImPRESS partner organizations, their representatives also had the opportunity to express their views and suggestions regarding the presentation and the overall implementation of the ImPRESS project.
The meeting was dignified by the presence of the project’s partner institutions’ representatives, outstanding scientists from all over Europe, including: prof. Coral Barbas, Dr. Antonia García Fernández and Dr. Francisco Javier Rupérez Pascualena from Universidad San Pablo in Spain, prof. Heike Allgayer from Heidelberg University in Germany, prof. Tomasz Burzykowski from the University of Hasselt in Belgium, Dr. Ana Dopazo dr Ana Quintas Gorozarri and Dr. Alberto Benguría from the Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research in Spain, Dr. Attila Gyenesei from the University of Pécs, Hungary. They were joined by: prof. Jesse Swen from Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands and prof. Pedro Domingues from the University of Aveiro in Portugal, PhD students (co)-supervisors. Obviously, the representatives of the Medical University of Bialystok were also present at the meeting: ImPRESS project coordinator, prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko, Head of doctoral studies prof. dr hab. Anna Moniuszko-Malinowska, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine with the Department of Dentistry and the Department of Teaching in English, prof. dr hab. Irina Kowalska and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, prof. dr hab. Wojciech Miltyk and PhD students' supervisors and co-supervisors.
