On November 23, 2022, at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Medical University of Bialystok, a ceremonial awarding of diplomas and capping (pol. czepkowanie -putting the nursery and midwife cap/bonnet on the head of a student) of graduates of the first-cycle studies in nursing and midwifery took place.

The ceremony was attended by: prof. Marcin Moniuszko, Vice-Rector for Science and Development and prof. Adrian Chabowski, Vice-Rector for Education, representatives of the Nurses and Midwives' self-government, provincial consultants in the field of nursing and midwifery, as well as the Dean's Authorities of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

During the ceremony, the graduates took an oath, in which they committed themselves to help those in need and to persevere in the traditions of the profession. We also heard the Nurses' Anthem, and 2nd-year students lit the symbolic Nightingale lamp (an international symbol of nurses, accompanying the largest professional celebrations).

In the academic year 2021/2022, 120 people received a bachelor's degree in nursing, 88 people received a bachelor's degree in midwifery, and 57 people received a master's degree in midwifery.
