The five-month internship takes place at the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety - DG Sante in Luxembourg.

The Blue Book program is aimed at all citizens of the European Union who have completed at least a 3-year period of study. Each edition (recruitments are held twice a year) attracts thousands of applicants. The European Commission offers work to 600 people, which, depending on the size of the recruitment, constitutes 1-5% of candidates. In the recruitment process, the current professional achievements, experience of working in an international environment and knowledge of at least two official languages of the European Union, including one working language (English, French, German) at the C1 level, are taken into account.

DG Sante is the department of the European Commission responsible for overseeing the implementation of EU health and food legislation. The flagship program of the Directorate is the European Plan Against Cancer. Within this framework, the European Commission undertakes various activities to improve early detection of cancer, ensure equal access to diagnosis and treatment of oncological diseases, as well as increase the quality of life of patients and people who have managed to overcome the disease. The second branch, on which the work of the Directorate focuses, are initiatives undertaken to improve the condition of mental health and activities aimed at reducing the incidence of lifestyle diseases among European Union citizens.

In addition to gaining valuable experience and enriching your professional achievements, an internship in the Blue Book program is a great opportunity to make international friends, both with other interns and with people permanently employed in the structures of the European Union. It is also an opportunity to expand competences in the field of soft skills, learn about the realities of life in another country and undoubtedly an adventure that opens the door to self-development.

    Congratulations!
