We are pleased to announce that the Medical University of Bialystok was among the 19 awarded institutions in this year's selection for the PROM program of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (call 2024). For the planned activities, MUB received the full amount requested, i.e. PLN 1,048,000.00
Within the framework of the project, short-term academic exchanges will be carried out at our university. It is planned to organize and implement 72 international mobilities: these will be trips of MUB representatives to renowned foreign research centers or to prestigious international conferences, as well as visits of foreign participants from partner universities to selected MUB units. The authors of the award-winning project are employees of the International Cooperation Department: Jakub Wszeborowski and Sylwia Klepacka in cooperation with the manager Tomasz Maliszewski. Its implementation will take place in cooperation with the Rector's Plenipotentiary for. International Cooperation Prof. dr hab. Tomasz Hryszko.
Among the partner universities to which mobility can be implemented, it is worth mentioning m.in.:
- Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard (USA),
- Universidad CEU San Pablo (Spain),
- University of Turku (Finland),
- University of Zurich (Switzerland),
- Rudjer Boskovic Institute (Croatia).
To be sure that the project will be of a high substantive level, each participant will be carefully selected during the recruitment process, and then after his / her realized mobility, it will be evaluated.
The project fits into the strategy of internationalization of MUB, and its implementation will allow, amog others:
- strengthening existing contacts and establishing new relationships with universities and research units,
- improving the competences of students, doctoral students and academic staff – both specialist and soft
- and will result in new, jointly submitted, international publications and grants.
The project will last for the next 12 months, and the project office will be in the International Cooperation Department of MUB. More details will be provided when the project starts.
