Hamamatsu University School of Medicine (HUSM) is recruiting for doctoral programmes in medical sciences. The Medical University of Bialystok has had a bilateral agreement with this Japanese university since 2004.
There are currently two intakes for doctoral studies: starting in October 2025 or in April 2026. These studies are intended, among others, for those who have graduated in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine or those who are scheduled to complete such studies before September 2025. HUSM is looking for candidates who:
1. have an interest in cutting-edge medical science, medical care and advanced technology and are prepared to learn and cultivate it throughout their lives
2. have the ability to carry out tasks responsibly in cooperation with others on the basis of high ethical standards
3. seek answers to questions and problems related to medical science and health care and aim to solve them with deep insight and a multifaceted perspective
4. have an international perspective and a readiness to disseminate research results worldwide
5. have a willingness to reciprocate and disseminate research findings to the local community
Amount of fees:
Registration fee JPY 282,000
Tuition fees - first semester 267,900 JPY
(all year) JPY 535 800
Scholarships of are provided for the best students, approximately 100,000 yen/month for a maximum of four years. In exceptional cases, indicated in the admissions conditions, it is possible to apply for a waiver of tuition fees and enrolment fees. International students can also apply for a place in the student house.
