Dear PhD students,

We warmly invite you to classes on a topic that has not yet been offered in the “STER NAWA” Programme – “Fundamentals of Drug Discovery and Development”, conducted by dr. Nataliya Finiuk (biography).

During the classes you will learn about the key stages of drug discovery and development, from preclinical studies to clinical trials, as well as modern trends and tools used in designing new therapies, including anticancer therapies and the use of artificial intelligence.

Details of the classes:

1. Date: 21-23 April 2026, 09:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. 
2. Location:

• 21 April - Kolumnowa Lecture Hall (left wing of the Branicki Palace),
• 22-23 April – room 208 (right wing of the Branicki Palace, entrance D, 1st floor).

3. Language: English.
4. Participation requires completing the Application form (link) and sending it to: patrycja.jasinska@umb.edu.pl by 15 April 2026.

Each participant will receive a personal certificate in Polish and English.

Participation in the classes will also be included in the additional scoring in accordance with the applicable Regulations for Awarding Scholarships (https://bip.umb.edu.pl/pl/zarzadzenie/5469/zarzadzenie-nr-96-2025).

Classes shall be realized as part of the project entitled “Intensification of internationalization process and development of the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Bialystok” financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the programme of the Agency called “STER NAWA – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools – Call 2024”.
