The classes entitled “Clinical pharmacy in Patient Care - from hospital to community. The Slovenian model, including research and new competencies of pharmacists” conducted by Professor Matej Štuhec were an interesting and valuable contribution to the knowledge gained by PhD students at the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Bialystok.
Prof. Matej Štuhec was invited by Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. dr hab. Wojciech Miltyk, and Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy dr hab. Marta Baranowska-Kuczko, who assisted in organizing the Professor’s visit, welcomed him to the University and introduced him to our region.
The Professor presented the assumptions of the Slovenian model, highlighting its practical application and the role of scientific research in the development of new competencies for pharmacists. He also discussed the role of the clinical pharmacist as an important member of the therapeutic team, as well as the importance of collaboration with physicians and patients.

Classes shall be realized as part of the project entitled “Intensification of internationalization process and development of the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Bialystok” financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the programme of the Agency called “STER NAWA – Internationalization of Doctoral Schools – Call 2024”.
