We are pleased to announce that the second video in the series “Now I know – a series of educational videos”, entitled “Two Faces of Oxygen” is now available.
In the video, we will listen to experts from the Medical University of Białystok: prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Żendzian-Piotrowska, dr hab. Mateusz Maciejczyk, dentist Sara Zięba.
Oxygen is the most abundant element on Earth. Although essential for respiration and other physiological processes, high concentrations of oxygen can damage organs and body systems of living organisms. The toxic effect of this element is also conditioned by reactive oxygen species, formed as by-products in numerous metabolic processes. During the video, you will learn about free oxygen radicals, oxidative stress and whether their harmful effects can be prevented. Is it worth using antioxidants?

After the video, there will be a quiz consisting of 10 questions covering the scope of knowledge from the educational video to test your knowledge. The questions are close-ended – there will be different answer options, but only one is correct. The winners of the day will be people who correctly answer the largest number of questions in the shortest possible time. We have prepared great prizes – smart bands.
