DIDACTIC RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SURGERY COURSE FOR STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE OF THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF BIAŁYSTOK
- These rules and regulations are in agreement with the Statute of the Medical University of Białystok. Classes/seminars/lectures take place according to the schedule as set forth by the Dean’s Office in agreement with the curriculum approved by the faculty Council of the Medical University of Białystok.
- The presence in all classes, seminars and lectures is mandatory to get a credit in surgery. Absence should be excused as soon as possible. It is demanded in the case of health reasons to show a medical certificate of temporal disability and in other cases to present the certificate of proper authorities.
- Student’s absence at classes requires getting credit for the theoretical part. Retake of the classes must be appointed with the assistant.
- Students are required to be prepared theoretically for each class.
- During classes students are obliged to wear clean white coats and clean changed shoes. Bags, coats, jackets etc. should be left in cloak-room.
- Students are obliged to have stethoscopes, which should be disinfected after auscultation of every patient.
- It is prohibited to eat, drink and smoke during classes and lectures. Leaving the didactic room or hospital ward without assistant’s permission is prohibited.
