    24-hour Adoration-14.03.2015

In response to the request made by the Pope Francis, Class of 2020 was represented at the 24-hour adoration on Saturday, March 14th. At 4:15 PM, several students showed up in front of “The Red Church” for about 40 minutes of praying, meditation, or just sitting away from the electronic toys and problems of the daily life. Our Muslim colleagues brought Qu’ran, Catholic colleagues brought the Bible. By example of the Polish Pope, St. John Paul II, we pray together to one God – although, sometimes, in different ways.

After the adoration, the short tour of the Cathedral followed, together with a very brief meeting with the pastor, Father Zukowski.

It is important to our mental sanity throughout the 6 years of medical studies to have a place and option to come and forget; to sit and reflect; to quiet down, and to remind ourselves what is really important and what really matters in our lives.

In accordance to the Polish tradition, the Gozdzik flower and a doughnut to every lady that was found around the University. The most important gestures are the smallest – and, every time a flower was given, a great smile was found on the face of the receiver. We remember the most important and the most beautiful women in our lives - our mothers – and extend the warmest Women’s Day wishes to them as well.
