
§ 1. The 20th Bialystok International Medical Congress for Young Scientists, referred to hereafter as Conference, is a review of scientific attainments and a competition amongst the best scientific papers in various sessions.
§ 2. The Conference will be held in-person from the 24th-25th of April 2026 at the campus of the Medical University of Bialystok.
§ 3. Bialystok International Medical Congress (referred to as the 20th BIMC) is organized by the Students’ Scientific Association of the Medical University of Bialystok (referred to as SSS MUB).
§ 4. The Organizing Committee referred to hereafter as Organizers, consists of the board of the Students’ Scientific Association of the Medical University of Bialystok.
§ 5. The Organizing Committee appoints Coordinators of Scientific Sessions, whose main tasks will be to organize, prepare and take care of thematic sessions of the Conference.
§ 6. The official website of the conference is www.umb.edu.pl/bimc
§ 7. The official language of the Conference is English.
§ 1. Abstract length: 3000 characters including spaces.
§ 2. The deadline for submitting abstracts of works is March 14th 2026.
§ 3. Each participant may present more than one work.
§ 4. Each participant may be the author or co-author of up to 6 works.
§ 5. Each participant may be the author or co-author of up to 2 works in a session.
§ 6. The limit for authors of one work is 6 people; works with more authors will not qualify for presentation.
§ 7. Presentations that are not independent works of the authors and come from a previously published doctoral or habilitation thesis will not be evaluated. The decision to reject such presentations is made by the jury of the session by majority vote. This decision is final.
§ 8. The committee will not qualify works for student sessions if the co-authors include academic staff of higher education institutions and reserves the right to remove such works from the scientific session during the conference.
§ 9. The committee reserves the right to change the proposed scientific session based on the decision of the committee.
§ 10. The committee will reject works submitted contrary to this Regulation by majority vote. This decision will be final.
§ 11. If you encounter technical difficulties preventing you from submitting the entire registration form, please feel free to email us instead.
§ 1. The acceptable form of paper presentation is an oral presentation in English.
§ 2. The authors are obliged to prepare a multimedia presentation in English.
§ 3. During the case report poster sessions, authors present their work on site together with a brief oral commentary. Each presentation is allotted 5 minutes, followed by 2 minutes for questions and discussion.
§ 4. Only single case reports are eligible for presentation.
§ 5. Submissions will be assigned to sessions based on the reviewers’ evaluations. The highest-scoring abstracts will be selected for presentation in two oral presentation sessions, while the remaining accepted works will be presented during poster sessions.
§ 6. The number of presentations within a single session may be limited. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to adjust the number of accepted abstracts in each session.
§ 7. Presenters are required to prepare their posters in A1 format (594 × 841 mm) and are responsible for mounting them in the designated area.
§ 1. The acceptable form of paper presentation is an oral presentation in English.
§ 2. The authors are obliged to prepare a multimedia presentation in English.
§ 3. Presentations should be delivered to the email 20thbimc.pres@gmail.com no later than April 15th 2026 22:00 in a .pdf and .pttx format. Please prepare your presentation in a format that can be operated by Microsoft Windows. We do not take any responsibility for technical difficulties that may arise due to incompatibility. The presentation cannot exceed 20 MB.
§ 4. The first slide should contain names of the authors, the title of the work, name of the tutor and name of the Students Scientific Group.
§ 5. The preferred person presenting the work is the first author, if this is not possible, please contact us for further details on 20thbimc.pres@gmail.com.
§ 6. Presentations will be held according to the timetable set by the Organizing Committee.
§ 7. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes in the timetable. Registered participants will be informed of any changes regularly.
§ 8. The oral presentation of the Research paper may last no longer than 7 minutes, the discussion no longer than 3 minutes.
§ 9. The oral presentation of the Case Report may last no longer than 6 minutes, the discussion no longer than 3 minutes.
§ 10. All the paper authors (co-authors registered as passive participants) have the right to participate in the discussion.
§ 11. The person who leads the session has the right to stop the presentation or discussion in case of exceeding the allotted time.
§ 12. The person presenting the paper on the 20thBIMC (active participant) receives a PDF Presentation Certificate (one certificate for one paper), and each passive participant receives a Certificate of Participation.
§ 1. The conference fee structure is as follows:
Active participant (MUB) – 110PLN
Active participant (non- MUB) – 130PLN
Passive participant – 50 PLN (no dinners included)
Passive participant – 80 PLN (dinners included)
§ 2. The only acceptable currency is PLN (Polish Zloty).
§ 3. The fees must be paid by March 23, 2026 11:59 PM.
§ 4. If the fees are not paid by March 23, 2026 11:59 PM, the abstracts will be automatically rejected.
