    Assumptions and aims

    of the course

    The aim of the course is to present development of medical science in a broader socio-cultural context, allowig to: 1.

    understand the relationship between social environment and health condition 2. to see the cause and effect relationship between events distant in time 3. understand the process of scientific cognition 4. understand ethical aspects of the medical profession 5. learn how to critically evaluate information provided by literature and media 6. select data necessary to prepare coherent presentation
