    Rules & Regulations

     

    1. The course shall be delivered according to the schedule set out by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine with the Division of Dentistry and the English Division of MUB, as per the curriculum approved by the Faculty Council.
    2. Students shall comply with all the applicable health, safety, fire and sanitary/epidemiological regulations. These are published on the Department's website.
    3. Students shall follow: the sanitary guidelines prescribed by law and issued by the Chief Sanitary Inspector and/or other competent authorities; and all Orders and announcements given by the Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok.     4. Students are required to change their clothes and footwear in a room  clearly marked as the students’ cloakroom. Any outdoor clothes, bags or backpacks will not be allowed at the Department.
    5. Students are required to wear clean white medical lab coats and clean indoor footwear. Furthermore, students shall have their own stethoscopes, which should be disinfected after every auscultation. Each student shall wear a name badge.
    6. Use of multimedia devices, taking photographs or recording videos is not allowed during class.
    7. Students shall comply with the obligation of medical confidentiality. Any personal data in patient records shall be anonymized.
    8. Students are not allowed to leave the Department during the course without the course teacher’s knowledge and consent.
    9. Students will only be allowed to enter patient rooms with the teacher’s permission. Each student should stay at a patient bed specified for them. Students are not allowed to leave the Department without the teacher’s permission.
    10. Classes are held according to the course schedule, presented on the notice board at the Department and on the website.
    11. Attendance at all classes is mandatory. Students shall come to class on time. In case of absence, students are required to present a relevant medical to the teacher not later than 7 days after the absence; otherwise, the absence will not be excused.
    12. A student whose absence was duly excused shall cover the classes he/she missed, at a date and time agreed with the teacher.
    13. Students should not come to class if they have any symptoms of disease such as body temperature above 37.5°C, dry cough, shortness of breath, changed sense of smell or taste.
    14. If a student is absent because of any of the above symptoms or because of pandemic isolation or quarantine, he/she shall cover the classes he/she missed, at a date and time agreed with the teacher on a case-by-case basis.
    15. Students in quarantine shall participate in online classes, unless the physician in charge of their quarantine determines that they are unable to participate in distance learning.
    16. Instructions for proper usage of protective equipment/clothing, proper usage of disinfectants (including materials and methods applicable to body surfaces and/or to equipment) are available at the Department and are discussed during the first meetings with students.
    17. A student examining a patient is not allowed to wear any jewellery on his/her hands.
    18. Students are only allowed to enter isolation rooms identified as “Izolacja ochronna” or “Izolacja kontaktowa” with the teacher’s permission.
    19. Class teacher must be informed immediately of any injury or contact with biological materials.
    20. No food or drink is allowed at the Department. Chewing gum shall not be allowed.
    21. Smoking is strictly forbidden on the grounds of the Teaching Hospital.
    22. Students are not allowed to use any sources of fire/flame, especially in the proximity of oxygen sources.
    23. A student who notices any uncontrolled fire source should notify the teacher immediately.
    24. Fire extinguishers (in red colour as required by the applicable regulations) are available on the premises of all the Departments/the Hospital.
    25. In case of evacuation, instructions given by the person coordinating the evacuation are to be followed.
