    TUTORING REGULATIONS FOR NUCLEAR MEDICINE DEPARTMENT

    1. The basis for passing the subject are:
      1. Active participation in all lectures, seminars, and tutorials
      2. Demonstrating knowledge of the knowledge presented in the seminars and tutorials
    2. Seminar and lecture topics will be posted on the notice board and on the website of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Medical University of Bialystok.
    3. Inappropriate behavior during tutorials, seminars, or lectures (disturbing behavior during classes, uninvited conversations, using the phone, not focusing on the material presented by the teacher, reading/making up material from other subjects, sleeping, etc.) will result in negative points, which must be work off individually by the deadline set by the instructor.
    4. Positive points may be added to exceptionally active students which may later increase their score during the final exam.
    5. Tutorials are assessed in groups, in written form (single-choice test), by the deadline set by the academic instructor. Failure to report by this deadline (without an excuse provided within one week) will result in a failing grade.
    6. During the exam, students should conduct themselves in accordance with generally accepted University rules. The use of electronic devices during the exam is prohibited. Students are prohibited from carrying their phones while writing the final exam.
    7. Students are entitled to two exam dates, after prior arrangement with the assistant supervising the labs.
    8. The Clinic Head may, in exceptional circumstances, schedule an additional exam date.
    9. A student's excused absence from labs and lectures will be honored if confirmed by a physician. In exceptional cases, absences due to unforeseen circumstances will be honored. However, these absences must be made up.
    10. Make-up classes are possible with another class during the year or on designated days individually (the dates for make-up classes will be determined by the assistant).
    11. Absences from more than one lecture must be made up by a designated deadline by an assistant at the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
    12. Missing more than three tutorials will prevent students from making up the lectures and from taking the final exam. Students are then required to complete the tutorials with another group on a full-time basis.
    13. On the premises of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, assistants are responsible for student conduct. Students may only stay in the area designated by the assistant and behave in a manner appropriate to the situation and location.
    14. In the event of repeating a year due to a subject other than nuclear medicine, attendance at tutorials and passing the exams are required as for students of the current year.
    15. All comments regarding the conduct of tutorials and seminars, as well as any complaints, should be directed to Assistant Professor Saeid Abderazek, MD, PhD.

     

    NUCLEAR MEDICINE DEPARTMENT SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS

    1. Students are permitted in all laboratories within the Nuclear Medicine Department only when accompanied by a lecturer.

    2. Students are required to wear a change of gowns and shoes during classes.

    3. During classes, the instructor's instructions must be followed precisely.

    4. To minimize exposure to ionizing radiation from an external source (radioisotope generator, radiopharmaceutical, patient after isotope administration), three main principles apply:

     

    The further away, the safer.

    • The shorter the exposure time, the lower the radiation dose.

    • The use of shields protects against radiation.
