    General Conditions

    This privacy policy describes the terms and conditions related to the processing and protection of personal data provided by users in connection with the use of the myMUB mobile application.

    The myMUB application is an official English-language mobile application of the Medical University of Bialystok, whose seat is located at ul. Jana Kilińskiego 1, 15-089 Białystok, Poland.

    The application is intended mainly for foreign students and doctoral students of the Medical University of Bialystok, as well as foreign academic teachers and visitors. Other people can also use the application. All people who use the application are called users.

    The use of the mobile application is free of charge. It is possible to download the application from online stories with mobile apps. The user of the mobile application can remove the application at any time.

    By using the myMUB mobile application, the user accepts this Privacy Policy. The acceptance of the privacy policy takes place the first time the application is turned on.

    Personal data in the mobile application may be collected through:

    • information provided voluntarily by users in contact or registration forms included in the myMUB mobile application. Such data includes: name and surname, telephone, e-mail, e-mail, year of study, field of study.

    We kindly inform you that:

    • the application requires internet access,
    • access to the "Student zone" module (only foreign students of the Medical University of Bialystok) is possible after logging in. After logging in to the module, the student gains access to their individual timetable and can edit their profile. The logged-in student will be able to receive notifications addressed directly to them, their exercise group or the year of study.
    • access to all other modules of the myMUB mobile application (except for the "Student zone" module) does not require logging in.
    • in the case of using the "Student zone" module dedicated to foreign students of the Medical University of Bialystok, the application collects data automatically, only if the student's consent has been granted when using the application. Personal data that is collected automatically are: given name, last name, e-mail address, year of study, field of study. Providing the above data is always voluntary, but necessary to access and use the "Student Zone" module.
    • remaining modules of the mobile application does not collect data automatically. User data is stored locally on the phone. The University or an external entity which the University has signed a data entrustment agreement with does not collect any additional data.
    • the myMUB mobile application does not use Cookies. The application contains links to the official website of the Medical University of Bialystok. Cookies policy of this website is available at: https://www.umb.edu.pl/en/s,6604/Cookies_Policy
    • personal data provided to the myMUB mobile application will not be sold or made available to third parties, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as GDPR).
    • personal data and the content of messages sent via contact forms are conveyed directly to the employees of the Medical University of Bialystok, responsible for particular issues, via e-mail operating within the university network.
    • the application may ask for access to the calendar in order to save appointments in it and for access to files, multimedia and photos. Consent for access is voluntary, but failure to do so may restrict the operation of some functions. The University does not gain access to the User's data on the device, nor does it allow third parties to do so. This data is available locally on the user's device (e.g. phone).
    • the mobile application requires permission to access the device's location in order to use certain functionalities. Granting consent is voluntary, but failure to do so may restrict access to certain functions.
    • The Medical University of Bialystok (MUB) is not responsible for the privacy policy of external entities, including entities running websites or applications to which links are included in the application as well as the online stores.     This privacy policy may change in time. Changes may be dictated by the development of information technologies, changes in the law on the protection of personal data or further development of the mobile application and the introduction of new functionalities. Its current version is always available on the information website of the mobile application and in the mobile application module: About the App. The University will inform Users about changes significantly affecting the privacy assumptions by publishing relevant information in the module: News.

    Inseparable part of the privacy policy is the following information clause regarding the data sent in the contact form and/or data provided during logging in to the “Student zone” module.

    In accordance with art. 13 of the GDPR, the Medical University of Bialystok informs that:

    1. Administrator of Personal Data provided by users in the contact forms included in the myMUB mobile application, such as: name and surname, telephone, e-mail, year of study, field of study, is the Medical University of Bialystok with its seat at ul. Kilińskiego 1, 15-089 Białystok, represented by the Rector.
    2. Any issues relating to personal data processing may be addressed to the Data Protection Inspector by sending a message to the following e-mail address: iod@umb.edu.pl or by other means listed on the University website.
    3. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of transfer, sending and receiving an answer to the question or solving the problem described in the form sent in the myMUB mobile application pursuant to Art. 6, section 1 letter a of GDPR – voluntarily granted consent by sending the form.
    4. Your personal data may be disclosed only to persons authorized by the Data Administrator, nFinity.pl sp. z o.o. company cooperating with the Medical University of Bialystok on the basis of an entrustment agreement.
    5. Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of processing, and after that time for the time specified by law or internal procedures in force at the University.
    6. You have the right to access personal data, the right to rectify it, delete or limit processing, as well as the right to transfer data, on the terms set out in the GDPR. In order to exercise your rights, please contact the Data Protection Inspector.
    7. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing which was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal. The consent can be withdrawn by sending a message to the e-mail address: iod@umb.edu.pl.
    8. You have the right to file a complaint to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, if you decide that the processing of personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR.
    9. Providing personal data is voluntary, however failure to do so will result in the inability to send the contact form.
    10. Your data will not be profiled, nor will they be used to make automated decisions.

    Information on processing of personal data of MUB foreign students provided during logging in to the “Student zone” module

     

    1. The administrator of Personal Data provided by foreign students while logging in to the “Student zone” module in the myMUB mobile application, such as: given name and last name, e-mail, year of study, field of study, is the Medical University of Bialystok with its seat at ul. Kilińskiego 1, 15-089 Białystok, represented by the Rector.
    2. Any issues relating to personal data processing may be addressed to the Data Protection Inspector by sending a message to the following e-mail address: iod@umb.edu.pl or by other means listed on the University website.
    3. Your personal data shall be processed in order to log in and use the “Student zone” module pursuant to Art. 6 section 1 letter a of the GDPR – voluntarily granted consent by inputting data and logging in.
    4. Your personal data may be disclosed only to persons authorized by the Data Administrator, nFinity.pl sp. z o.o. company cooperating with the Medical University of Bialystok on the basis of an entrustment agreement.
    5. Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of processing, and after that time for the time specified by law or internal procedures in force at the University.
