    COURSE REGULATIONS OF THE INDEPENDENT DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY OF THE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF BIALYSTOK

    Faculty of Medicine with a Division of Dentistry and a Divison of Medical Education

    1. The History of Medicine course at the Faculty of Medicine is conducted during the summer semester and consists of 25 hours of lectures.
    2. Dr Magdalena Muskala MD – the director of the Independent Department of History of Medicine and Pharmacy at the Medical University of Bialystok, is responsible for all classes.
    3. Classes are carried out in the classrooms of the Medical University of Bialystok listed in lesson plans.
    4. Participation in the lectures is mandatory. A student is granted the right to miss without justification two lectures. Every absence after that will be verified with an oral examination dealing with the subject matter addressed during the missed lecture at a time designated by the lecturer. If the absence is justified (illness, Dean's leave, participation in scientific studies at the MUB) the student is responsible for delivering all necessary documentation confirming that fact.
    5. The passing of the class is conditioned upon participation in the lectures as well as a group Power Point presentation.
    6. All lectures will start on time and this is the responsibility of the lecturers as well as the students. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate.
    7. During the first meeting the lecturer will inform the students about the form and time of the classes, conditions for passing the course as well as all necessary textbooks.
    8. The student will be informed about his final grade by the lecturer conducting the course.
    9. All verifications of transcripts can be obtained only during the academic year.
    10. All matters not addressed by these regulations will be individually decided by the Department Director.
