Medical University of Bialystok. Rector`s speach.
  • Dear Colleagues, Employees of the Medical University of Bialystok,
Dear Students, PhD Students and Graduates of our University,
    Ladies and Gentlemen,
In 2020 we were celebrating an amazing 70th Anniversary of our University.
On February 3, 1950, the Medical Academy of Bialystok was founded, pursuant to a Regulation of the Council of Ministers, and since 2008 it has had the status of Medical University.
The 70th anniversary was an opportunity to recapitulate the history and heritage of our great predecessors and teachers, and an inspiration for all of us to strengthen the University community, to incite positive emotions to integrate our academic environment.
We proudly announce almost  30,000 of our University graduates, who have accomplished a great success domestically and elsewhere. We want them to be the Ambassadors and Friends of our Alma Mater.
    Ladies and Gentlemen,
Over 70 years ago, we started as the 10th medical academy in Poland. Today, we rank among the top universities in Poland and we believe that the future is ours to come.
I would like to extend my sincere wishes to all the faculty and staff members, students and graduates of our University – to prosper and succeed in your professional and personal lives, because all your individual accomplishments make up the overall success of our Medical University of Bialystok.

    Professor Adam Krętowski, MD, PhD
Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok
