    Lectures: Lectures hold by 2nd Departament of Nephrology will be available online via Blackboard platform. The attendence will be checked automatically. The attendence to the lectures is obligatory to get credit for clinical classes in Nephrology.Clinical classes: Clinical classes in NEPHROLOGY (internal diseases, 5th year) 2023/2024 are held as written below.  Classes are held stationary from 8:30 to 10:55 (last day 08:30-10:50) in the 2nd Department of Nephrology.All seminars (9 teaching hours) are conducted online via the Blackboard platform. Before class, it is requred to watch a seminar related to the topic of the classes that day. Regardless of the place of the classes, students should watch all 5 seminars - prepared by both the 1st and 2nd Nephrology Clinics.

    Day 1:

    Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD)

    - causes, symptoms, examination, investigations

    - complications of CKD

    - management of CKD, renoprotection, correction of CRF complications

     

    Day 2:

    Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)

    - prerenal, postrenal, acute tubular necrosis

    - acute cortical necrosis

    - contrast nephropathy

    - hepatorenal syndrome

     

    Day 3:

    Glomerular Diseases

    - Nephrotic Syndrome

    - Nephritic Syndrome

    - Rapidly Progressive Glomerulonephritis (RPGN)

     

    Day 4:

    Tubulointerstitial Nephritis

    - Urinary Tract Infection

    - Hypertension and the Kidney

     

    Day 5:

    Renal Replacement Therapy

    - Haemodialysis

    - Peritoneal Dialysis

    - Continuous methods of blood purification

    Kidney Transplantation

    Final test and course assessment

     

     

    Evaluation on the course is based on class and lectures participation and a final test organized during the last day.
