    CHEMISTRY COURSE REGULATIONS

     

     

        

    1. Students are obliged to attend all form of classes (full-time and on line).
    2. The way of conducting classes –  lectures presented by synchronic method (on line on the Blackboard platform), laboratory classes (individual experiments, observations) and seminars (presentations).
    3. Coats and jackets should be left in the dressing room (Collegium Primmum – second floor). During laboratory classes students are obliged to wear protective aprons and change shoes. Long hair ought to be tied back.
    4. Unexcused absences from classes are not allowed
    5. Absences from classes must be excused by sick leave, dean’s leave or by statement about specific event. The leave should be delivered to the Head of the Department within 7 days. Classes can be made up by conducting proper laboratory class, preparing report from class and writing class test in the term fixed with the teacher.
    6. Being late for classes longer than 15 min is treated as absence.
    7. The conditions of passing the classes:                                                                                         - performing experiments with showing an understanding of a sense of carried                procedures;                                                                                                                         -  preparing a report from practical part of the class;                                                           -  credit from a written class test.

    During classes students can get the following number of points:

                     - written class test              9 points

                     - performing experiments   1 point

                     - preparing report               2 points

    Students are informed about the results from the written class tests during the next classes.

    Maximum number of points from all classes is 60. The condition to pass classes and to be admitted to the final test is obtaining 15 points from partial class tests. Students who don't obtain these points will not get credit at Chemistry. Students who obtain during the classes totally at least 40 points, including 30 from partial class tests (but not less than 5 points from individual written class test) and 10 points from experiments and reports, can be exempted from the final test.

    1. The form of getting credit: final credit in written form including subjects from lectures, classes and seminars. The condition to get credit at the final test is obtaining 55 % of maximum number of points (there will be one general term and two retakes).
    2. Unexcused absence on the final credit causes getting 0 pints.
    3. Absences from the final credit are excused by sick leave, dean’s leave or by statement about specific event. The leave should be delivered to the Head of the Department within 7 days.
    4. The results of the credit will be presented on Blackboard platform within 7 days after writing the test.
    5. Students can see their tests within one week.
    6. Students who used not allowed form of help during credits, finish their work and get 0 points, without possibility to making up.
    7. First/Second Cycle Studies Regulations and Uniform Master’s Studies Regulations should be applied for matters unresolved by this Regulations.
