    How Are You Feeling Today?

    Studying abroad can be exciting—but also challenging. Feeling anxious, lonely, overwhelmed, or homesick is completely normal.

    Talk to Someone – Confidential & Free Support

    Psychological Support at MUB during Academic Year:

    • Free consultations with licensed English-speaking psychologist

    • Location: Department of Philosophy and Human Psychology, address: ul. Szpitalna 37, room 427.

    Counselling is particularly recommended if you need help:
    - Coping with stress and other pressures
    - Confronting your fears or concerns
    - Resolving family issues and taking difficult decisions
    - Overcoming depressive mood and sadness,
    - Dealing with relationship crises or understanding cultural differences.

     

    Counselling is provided by the university at no charge to the student.

    Our school counsellor: Dr. Barbara Polityńska–Lewko is a fully trained clinical psychologist and a native speaker of English.

     

    You can contact her by phone at 85 748 5497 on Tuesdays 12.30-13.30 and Wednesdays 10.30-11.30 during the school semester

    Please note that this is not an emergency service and you may have to wait 3-4 days for a reply to your e-mail. Only the counsellor has access to the e-mail service.

    If you feel unsafe or need urgent help, if this is a life threatening situation or one that could result in harm to yourself or someone else don’t wait, call 112 or 999:

    Take Care of Your Mental Wellbeing

    • Physical activity – explore local gyms or parks

    • Regular sleep and healthy eating

    • Staying connected with others

    • Mindfulness apps, etc.

    Centrum Zdrowia Psychicznego – Mental Health Centre

    Patients can contact the Mental Health Center with any mental health problem, whether it's personal issues related to the loss of a loved one, suicidal thoughts, difficulty coming to terms with an illness such as cancer, or other mental health issues. They will receive assistance tailored to their individual needs.

    Healthcare services provided by the Mental Health Center are free.

    Those in need of help should contact the Reporting and Coordination Point at the Mental Health Center. They will receive the necessary assistance and information on available forms of assistance. Patients can contact the center in person, by phone, or email, or through a third party with the patient's consent.
