    Medical University of Bialystok Clinical Hospitals

    The Medical University of Bialystok Clinical Hospital and The Medical University of Bialystok Children’s Clinical Hospital of l. Zamenhof  are the largest and the most modern medical facilities in the north-east of Poland.

    They serve as the didactic and scientific base for the Medical University of Białystok, providing a wide range of medical services. Every year 55,000 patients are hospitalized and approximately 203,000 consultations are given there.

    Both hospitals employ highly qualified and skilled doctors and nurses, and possess state-of-the-art equipment.

    A number of hospital departments offer unique services, including kidney transplantation, closure of aneurysm and cerebral angiomas, angioplasty, electrophysiological examination, thrombolytic therapy, oncologic treatment of children and adolescents  as well as  growth hormone therapy for short-statured children.

    The  hospitals are in good financial condition and have received a number of awards and distinctions.

    In 2008 reconstruction and modernization of The Medical University of Bialystok Clinical Hospital was commenced, which is expected to be completed in  2016.
