For centuries, Bialystok was a border city between the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland territory and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The region was abundant in paths taken by the Polish kings and dukes to get to their residences in Vilnius or Grodno. Nowadays, the region prides itself in its beautiful, unique natural resources and its multicultural heritage.
