On January 14, 2025, during the visit of a delegation from the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, a cooperation agreement between our universities was concluded. On MUB part, the agreement was signed by prof. dr hab. Wojciech Miltyk, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, on behalf of the Rector. The contract term is 5 years with the possibility of extension for another 5 years. The persons responsible for the implementation of the agreement are: Dr. Tomasz Maliszewski, Head of the International Cooperation Department (MUB) and Dr. Umida Tillayeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations (Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute).
The aim of this agreement is to establish cooperation in the exchange of scientific staff, students and doctoral students, as well as the exchange of experiences regarding teaching methods. In addition, the agreement enables the implementation of joint research projects and the organisation of seminars and conferences. The scope of cooperation also includes the preparation of joint scientific publications.
Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute was established in 1937 and is the only government institution of higher education in pharmacy in Central Asia. Over the years, the Institute has become not only a center of pharmaceutical education, but also a research center. Currently, with the gradual introduction of a new concept of pharmaceutical education, the institute conducts targeted research on current issues of the pharmaceutical policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A Scientific Centre for Drug Standardisation equipped with the most modern equipment was established.
