Dear PhD Students of the Doctoral School of the MUB,

We are concluding this year’s series of lectures delivered by international professors with a lecture given Prof. Sebastian-Edgar Baumeister, titled “Epidemiology, population studies, genetic studies and prevention”.

On behalf of Professor Barbara Mroczko, Director of the Doctoral School of the MUB, Professor Karol Kamiński, Vice-Rector for Preventive Medicine and Open Science and the International Cooperation Department, we warmly invite you to participate in these classes.

Detail about the classes:

1. Term: October 27 – 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

2. Language: English

3. Form: on-site

4. Place of the classes:

• October 27, 2025 (Monday): room 25, Euroregional Pharmacy Centre
• October 28-29, 2025 (Thursday, Wednesday): room 208, right wings of the Branicki Palace (enter D, 1^st floor).

Each participant will receive a personalized certificate of participation in the classes.

Participation in the classes will be awarded additional points during the evaluation of applications for scholarships from the Medical University of Bialystok’s own scholarship fund.

Participation in the classes requires completing the application form and sending a scanned copy by e-mail at: patrycja.jasinska@umb.edu.pl by October 22, 2025.

Participants are kindly requested to bring their laptops to the classes.

Classes shall be realized as part of the project entitled “Intensification of internationalization process and development of the Doctoral School of the Medical University of Bialystok” financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of the programme of the Agency called “STER NAWA– Internationalization of Doctoral Schools– edition 2024”.
