The Medical University of Bialystok is consistently developing its international cooperation, strengthening its presence in the global academic community. Recently, another cooperation agreement was signed with a renowned Ukrainian university – the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’.
The signing of the agreement represents a significant step towards deepening scientific and educational relations between the institutions. The partnership forms part of the Medical University of Bialystok’s internationalisation strategy, which aims to develop cooperation with leading academic centres worldwide.
The scope of the signed agreement includes, amongst other things:
- the implementation of joint research projects,
- the exchange of students, PhD students and academic staff,
- the organisation of conferences, seminars and scientific workshops,
- the development of joint educational initiatives and study programmes.
Another key element of the collaboration will be the development of research at the interface between medical and technical sciences. The partnership with the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ opens up extensive opportunities in areas such as:
- biomedical engineering and the development of modern medical technologies,
- telemedicine and digital systems supporting diagnosis and treatment,
- medical data analysis, artificial intelligence and the modelling of biological processes,
- the development of innovative materials and solutions used in medicine,
- support for translational research linking basic science with clinical practice.
Cooperation with one of the largest technical universities in Ukraine opens up new opportunities for interdisciplinary research and the transfer of knowledge and technology, particularly in the context of the dynamic development of modern medicine.
The signing of the agreement underscores the commitment of the Medical University of Białystok to developing international relations and building lasting academic partnerships. This initiative will contribute to improving the quality of education, increasing academic mobility and raising the University’s profile on the international stage.
