Last week, the Medical University of Bialystok community gathered once again around a shared table for the 4th International Cooking Day—an event that has become a permanent fixture on the university’s calendar of international initiatives. This year’s edition brought together about 80 participants—students, staff, and guests from around the world—who cooked together, chatted, and discovered the flavors of many cultures.
International Cooking Day is not only a culinary journey but, above all, an opportunity to build relationships, break down intercultural barriers, and integrate the academic community through shared activities and good fun.
While the teams prepared their dishes, the audience could visit the mini-zoo at the Howieny Estate. It was a great attraction, especially for those who wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, spend time outdoors, and get to know the unique atmosphere of this place better. Interacting with the animals and the opportunity to take a walk together created an even more relaxed, family-like atmosphere for the event and fostered integration among the participants.
Thank you to all participants for your presence, energy, and the time we spent together. It is thanks to you that International Cooking Day once again became a unique celebration of diversity, openness, and community.
