    Academic cooperation agreement with University of Vinnytsia

    Medical University of Bialystok is constantly developing its international partnerships, thereby consistently strenghthening its position within the global academic community. In May 2026, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the Medical University of Bialystok and the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in Vinnytsia.

     

    This document provides for partnership-based cooperation on an equal basis, founded on the exchange of knowledge, experience and scientific resources.

     

    The agreement covers key areas such as professional training of staff, academic mobility, laboratory development and joint research initiatives. The cooperation will be implemented through a variety of activities, including student exchanges, internships and training courses. Lectures and workshops by experts from both universities, as well as co-organized research projects, conferences, seminars and summer schools will also be key. For the University of Vinnytsia, this also means access to UMB’s modern infrastructure.

    The signing of the agreement emphasises the shared commitment of both universities to developing a partnership that combines the advancement of science and medical education.     The National Pirogov Memorial Medical University is one of Ukraine’s leading research centres. The university conducts research in areas such as the anthropological, genetic, physiological and psychological characteristics of the human body across different age groups, as well as the patterns of morphogenesis and pathomorphogenesis of diseases of various origins, with the aim of developing and refining secondary prevention technologies.

     

    This collaboration is part of UMB’s internationalisation strategy and serves to highlight its position as a significant player in the European and global research landscape.
