On June 24–26, the Medical University of Bialystok welcomed guests from Lithuania, including Jowita Mičiudaitė-Jarosz, a Board Member of the Polish Medical Association in Lithuania, Agnieszka Godlijewska, a nurse, and three students from Vilnius University.

The Medical University of Bialystok has a bilateral cooperation agreement with Vilnius University. In May this year, Prof. Tomasz Hryszko, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Adrian Chabowski, Vice-Rector for Education, visited Vilnius University. The visit to Bialystok was another step in strengthening academic and international cooperation between the two universities.

On the first day of their stay, the students met with representatives of the IFMSA student organization, which gave them an excellent opportunity to get to know one another and prepare for the following days of the programme. The day continued with a joint lunch, providing an informal setting for further conversations and networking.

The second day began at the International Cooperation Department and Welcome Center, where the guests received commemorative gifts. Afterwards, they met with Prof. Adrian Chabowski, Vice-Rector for Education. The programme also included a visit to the Museum of the History of Medicine and Pharmacy and the Branicki Palace, followed by tours of the Futuri Center and the Medical Simulation Center. During their stay, the guests also visited the IFMSA headquarters and had an opportunity to explore the city centre of Bialystok.

The visit concluded with a shared dinner, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and reflect on the time spent together at the Medical University of Bialystok.
