Title: Serum zinc-alpha2-glycoprotein (ZAG) as a biomarker of coronary artery atherosclerosis.

Objectives: To estimate the serum levels of zinc-alpha2-glycoprotein (ZAG) and adiponectin in the general population and in patients with established ischemic heart disease and to investigate the correlation of ZAG and adiponectin with traditional cardiovascular risk factors.

Department: Department of Population Medicine and Lifestyle Diseases Prevention

    Supervisor: prof. Karol Kamiński, MD-PhD

    Co-investigator: Jacek Jamiołkowski, MD-PhD, Eng.

Objectives: To perform untargeted metabolomic profiling of exhaled breath condensate (breathomics / volatolomics) of electronic cigarette smokers (vapers), smokers and non-smokers from general population and to carry out a comprehensive study of metabolites according to to smoking/vaping status as well as other pathophysiological measurements.

Department: Department of Population Medicine and Lifestyle Diseases Prevention; Centre for Clinical Research
