The Medical University of Bialystok has concluded a bilateral agreement with an another Gerogian HEI - the European University with its seat in Tbilisi.
The agreement covers cooperation in various aspects, including exchange of academic staff, students and doctoral students to conduct joint research, training or doctoral dissertations. The scope of cooperation also includes the organisation of joint summer schools, the preparation of joint scientific publications and the implementation of joint projects.
The European University consists of three faculties: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Law, Business Education and Technology. It is a private university that has been developing since its inception. It offers study programs in Georgian and English. The Doctor of Medicine and the Doctor of Dental Medicine courses are conducted in English. The university is a member of several supervisory associations, including: AMEE, Association of Medical Schools in Europe. It cooperates with over 90 foreign universities from Europe (including France, Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania), Asia (Turkey, Philippines, China) and North and South America (USA, Australia). The university also has bilateral agreements with Polish universities, including the Poznan University of Medical Sciences.
The agreement was concluded for a period of 5 years, with the possibility of further extension.
