Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCE) are held at the Centre for Medical Simulation of the Medical University of Bialystok. OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) is an assessment tool that provides an objective assessment of clinical (practical) skills based on medical simulation. The aim of the exam is to check the procedural and social competences acquired throughout the time of studies. It is considered one of the best methods of checking knowledge at the stage of academic education.

Each 6-year medical student goes through two high-fidelity stations where he or she has a scheduled medical task or procedure, such as CPR. In some cases, an objective team member or "patient" guardian is needed to complete a task.

In the future, the Medical University of Bialystok plans to increase the number of stations and the degree of their complexity. Therefore, it is worth learning practical skills during classes at the University.

OSCE exam are organized by the Medical Simulation Department and technicians from the Centre for Medical Simulation of the Medical University of Bialystok.
