During the ceremonial gala at the MUB Aula Magna, we met the winners of the 13th edition of the INTERSTUDENT 2023 Competition for the best foreign student in Poland. Anna Caroline Zurbel from Germany, a medical student at the Medical University of Bialystok, received a special award for her social commitment and support she gives to her younger colleagues coming to study in Poland.

In the category of bachelor studies, the winner was Vitalii Morskyi from Ukraine, a student of engineering and data analysis at the Rzeszów University of Technology. In the category of master's studies, the award went to Shamiram Samantha Benjamin from the USA, a student of medicine at the Medical University in Poznań. The winner in the category of doctoral studies was Fatma Edemen from Turkey, a doctoral student at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The Special Awards Committee also awarded: Special Award for active assistance in establishing relations between foreign students and the local community for Amaliy Iskhakova from Uzbekistan, student of Computer Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and the Special Award for extraordinary courage for Tetiana Bezpalko from Ukraine, a student of Nursing at the English Division of the Medical University of Gdańsk.

The award ceremony took place during the conference "Foreign Students in Poland". The conference was organized for the sixteenth time as part of the "Study in Poland" program by the Perspektywy Education Foundation, the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and this year's host university - the Medical University of Bialystok.
