National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR)

The mission of the NCBR is to support the Polish research units and enterprises in building their capability to create and implement research-based solutions in order to stimulate economic growth and deliver new value to the general population.
The primary functions of the National Centre for Research and Development include: management and execution of strategic research and development programs, leading directly to innovation; promoting commercialization and other forms of dissemination of research deliverables; and the management of applied research programmes.
The Centre endeavours to offer training and development opportunities to young researchers, such as international researcher mobility programmes. There is a special focus on young scientists’ participation in research programmes. The Centre enables young researchers to build their commercial and intellectual property management skills and to learn how to commercialize research results.
    “Lider”
The aim of the “Lider” programme is to inspire the community of young researchers and aid them in their careers. Participation in “Lider” is a unique opportunity for them to manage their own research teams. At the same time, the programme encourages collaboration between young researchers and businesses, as well as the mobility of researchers in the science sector and externally, between science and industry. The maximum funding is 1.5 million PLN per project. The deadline for submission of proposals is 18/03/2019.
