    Regulamin

    DEPARTMENT OF GERIATRCS

     

    INTERNAL RULES OF TEACHING FOR STUDENTS OF THE ENGLISH DIVISION 2017/2018

     

    1. The internal regulations of the Department of Geriatrics are consistent with the Rules of Study of the Medical University of Bialystok.
    2. The Course in geriatrics consists of: clinical classes – 23 hrs and lectures –12 hrs
    3. Clinical classes in semester 10thth are taking place in the Department of Geriatrics (Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Bialystok, Fabryczna str. 27).
    4. Punctuality and appropriate protective clothing are obligatory to attend classes.
    5. The presence in all lectures and classes is mandatory to get a credit in geriatrics.
    6. In case of justified absence (sick leave, dean’s leave) student is obliged to complete clinical classes at the latest day of the training semester with the given lecturer/assistant.
    7. Unjustified absence causes failure of the geriatrics course and all semester.
    8. Student can work out an uncompleted classes with another group.
    9. The credit for the geriatrics course is obtained after the completion of training. Completion of all lectures and classes is necessary to obtain the final credit. The assistant conducting classes is responsible for giving the final credit (oral or written form).
    10. Student cannot complete the credit in a normal term in the case of excused absence during more than 25% of the classes.
    11. During the lectures and classes mobile phones, pagers and any audio devices must be absolutely switched off. Taking photographs is forbidden.
    12. Smoking is not allowed in the whole hospital. Eating and drinking in the didactic rooms and in the corridors of the ward is not allowed.
    13. Student is obliged to obey the work safety and fire control regulations. Student must immediately inform an assistant about all accidents occurring at the Department of Geriatrics during the classes.
    14. Student should be prepared to the current classes based on the lectures and recommended obligatory handbooks.
    15. Student has the right to express all comments dealing with the geriatrics course to the Head of the Department of Geriatrics.
