    MUB concluded a bilateral agreement with the University of Mataram in Indonesia

    The International Cooperation Department informs that the Medical University of Bialystok has concluded the first bilateral agreement with a university located in Indonesia – the University of Mataram.

     

    The agreement covers multidimensional cooperation, primarily in the field of staff exchange, joint research and teaching, implementation of educational programs and other various types of activities related to education. The agreement also covers the exchange of students and PhD students for activities related to the preparation of doctoral dissertations, conducting joint research and education. The purpose of the agreement is also to exchange educational and research materials as well as information related to education and research, joint implementation of seminars, conferences, courses and symposia, joint organisation of summer schools and joint preparation of scientific publications.

     

    The agreement provides for the possibility of expanding the scope of cooperation at further stages. It was concluded for 5 years, with the possibility of its extension. 

    The University of Mataram is a public university in Indonesia. It was established on October 1, 1962. Its current Rector is Professor Bambang Hari Kusumo. The university is under surveillance  of the Ministry of Education of Indonesia and is located in the city of Mataram in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The university educates in 10 faculties:

    - the Faculty of Economics and Business;

    - the Faculty of Engineering;

    - the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences;

    - the Faculty of Food Technology and Agroindustry;

    - the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training;

    - the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences;

    - the Faculty of Law;

    - the Faculty of Animal Sciences;

    - the Faculty of Agriculture;

    - the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies.

     

    At the faculties there are 36 fields of study of 4-year Bachelor studies and 12 fields of studies of Master studies. The Faculty of Postgraduate Studies dedicates programs to students wishing to continue their studies and conduct their own research. The International Affairs Office of the University of Mataram is responsible for developing partnerships with other higher education institutions around the world. These partnerships facilitate student exchange programmes, joint research projects, academic and scientific cooperation and joint seminars and workshops. The university has established cooperation with countries such as New Zealand, Australia, India, France, Malaysia, Spain and South Korea. University of Mataram's hospital and clinic is one of the main healthcare providers in West Nusa Tenggara province. The hospital is located next to the main campus of the University and is open to all students, faculty employees, staff and people from the surrounding area who require treatment.

    The International Cooperation Department encourages the conclusion of further international agreements and arrangements. It is worth noting that in 2023 the Medical University of Bialystok has concluded 8 international agreements (not counting the agreements concluded under the Erasmus+ Programme).
