The project submitted by the Medical University of Bialystok titled "The system of bilingual labelling of the campus of the Medical University of Bialystok and intercultural workshops for employees as part of the internationalization of the University" received funding under the "Welcome to Poland" program of the National Academic Exchange Agency. The amount of co-financing is 490 872 PLN. The project will be implemented in the period of 2018-11-05 / 2020-10-31.
As part of the project, a bilingual signage of the UMB campus will be carried out. The buildings, rooms, classrooms, auditorium and main communication routes will be marked with uniform information signs in Polish and English. In the survey conducted among first year students of the Medical Faculty of English Division, the bilingual labelling system was indicated as the most needed activity within the UMB internationalization strategy, helping the functioning of students and research staff from abroad.
The complementary activity of the project is the intercultural training for UMB employees, students together with mentoring sessions.
